My name is Fatmeh and I was born and raised in a city called Tripoli in northern Lebanon. My family’s love for good food and cooking drove my passion to learn to cook great food.
In 2001 I moved to the USA. It was my first time having friends that were not Lebanese. It made me so happy to see my friends loving and enjoying my food. This is what encouraged me to start my own website to teach people how to cook Lebanese food in the simplest way possible from ingredients that you can find in your local grocery store. Note: from time to time you may require ingredients found at the nearest Middle eastern store by you. For example the Tahini sauce (sesame seeds paste) that is used in many dishes like Humus .
Since I believe that food is related very much to culture I thought that I would also introduce some of the Lebanese culture along the way as well.
I hope that this website will be useful for you .
