This is the Lebanese basic rice recipe
It is used with so many Lebanese dishes.
- 2 cups of short grain rice (Egyptian rice will be great)
- 1/2 cup of small size and broken noodles
- 4 cups of water
- 1 tbsp of veg shortening
- salt (as desired)
- In small pan melt the shortening and fry the noodles , and when it turn to medium golden color ( in the same time be careful do not burn it) now add the water .
- When water start boiling add the rice and salt , cover and cook on low for almost 20 or until the rice absorbs all the water.
